One send. Thousands of people. Personalized for each of them. Segment by deal stage, country, or custom fields — and track every single delivery.
Send the right message to the right people. Use Bitrix24's built-in filters to create precise audiences for every campaign.
Bitrix24 CRM Marketing lets you create contact segments using any combination of CRM fields as filters. The options are genuinely broad. Target contacts by country or phone prefix for localized campaigns in the recipient's language, by deal stage to re-engage inactive leads or reward loyal customers, or by custom fields like product category, subscription tier, or last purchase date.
Segments can be static — a fixed list chosen once — or dynamic, meaning they update automatically as CRM data changes. Dynamic is usually the better choice for ongoing campaigns. A segment of "all contacts with active deals" always includes the latest leads. You don't rebuild it before each send. It's just ready.
Combine multiple filters with AND/OR logic for precise targeting. For example: contacts in Germany OR Austria, with deal stage = "Proposal Sent," AND last contacted more than 14 days ago. SendSMS receives the final list and handles delivery to each recipient individually.
Honestly, most bulk SMS tools require you to export your contacts to a CSV, upload them to an external platform, design the campaign there, and then somehow reconcile the delivery data back into your CRM — which is exactly the kind of friction that SendSMS eliminates by operating entirely inside Bitrix24 from day one.
Know exactly how your campaign performed. Real-time statistics on every send.
After launching a campaign, the SendSMS dashboard shows a real-time overview: total sent, delivered, failed, and pending. The delivery percentage updates as carrier acknowledgements come in. Fast. You'll have a clear picture of campaign reach within minutes of launch — not hours later when it's too late to act on anything.
Drill into any campaign to see the delivery status for each individual contact. Status values include Delivered, Failed, Sent (pending confirmation), and Expired (undeliverable after 48-hour carrier window). Failed numbers can be exported for follow-up via alternative channels. No important contact gets left out just because their phone was off that day.
Every campaign shows the total credit consumed and the average cost per SMS for the specific countries targeted. You can accurately measure campaign ROI — total sending cost versus revenue generated from that segment. Credit's deducted only for messages actually dispatched to the carrier, not for failed lookups or invalid numbers. Pretty fair, we think.
All campaigns are stored in SMS History with full details: send date, segment used, message content, and final delivery stats. Use it to compare performance over time, identify which segments respond best, and refine your targeting strategy. Filter by date range, status, or campaign name to find exactly what you need. Audit trail. Learning tool. One place.
Most issues are avoidable. Follow these and you'll be fine.
SMS marketing requires unambiguous consent under GDPR and most national telecom regulations. Collect consent at lead capture, store the opt-in record in a custom CRM field, and use that field as a mandatory filter when creating campaign segments. We can't say this clearly enough: don't send promotional SMS to contacts who haven't explicitly agreed. It's illegal in most of Europe. It destroys your sender reputation. And it's just bad practice.
SMS arrives instantly. Full stop. That's great for your open rates and terrible if you send at midnight. Sending after 20:00 or before 09:00 local time irritates recipients and spikes opt-out rates dramatically. Use Bitrix24's scheduled send feature to delay campaign dispatch until morning, even if you're setting it up late at night. Segment by country when your audience spans multiple time zones.
A standard SMS is 160 characters. That's it. Messages longer than that get split into concatenated parts, each billed separately, and they may not display correctly on older handsets. Write concise messages that state the offer or action in the first sentence. Use a URL shortener for links — a long URL alone can push you over the limit. Short is better. Always.
Every marketing SMS needs an opt-out instruction — "Reply STOP to unsubscribe" or a link to an unsubscribe page. Legally required in most jurisdictions. Non-negotiable. More practically: it builds trust with recipients who know they can control their own preferences. When someone opts out, update their CRM record immediately so they're excluded from future campaigns. Don't make them opt out twice.
Before sending to your entire list, test with a small sample of 10–20 contacts. Verify merge fields resolve correctly, links work, and the message reads naturally on mobile. A minor error in a 1,000-contact campaign is far more costly — in credit and reputation — than catching it in a test. We've seen campaigns go wrong in embarrassing ways. Don't skip the test. SendSMS shows test delivery status in real time.
A few things we've seen go wrong. Don't let them happen to you.
Start with your most engaged segment. A poorly targeted blast generates opt-outs that can't be undone. Test first, scale second.
SMS is for short, actionable messages. "Check out our new blog post about our company's journey..." — no. Offer, action, deadline. That's it.
If 15% of your campaign shows "Failed," something's wrong with your number list. Clean it before the next send — not after another expensive campaign with the same problem.
If your message doesn't make clear who it's from in the first 10 words, recipients ignore it or report it as spam. Set a recognizable sender ID and open with your brand name.
